The tenth annual Sports For All awards evening took place on Saturday 13 February 2010 at Touchstones, to celebrate the sporting achievements of people involved with the scheme throughout the borough. This year’s awards began with a special tribute to Mr Ismail Fulat of the Kashmiri Youth Project who worked tirelessly with Sports For All for many years before his death in December 2009. His son Hussain was presented with a plaque in memory of his father from Sports For All. Sports 4 All, (SFA) a Rochdale-based multi faith group, together with Rochdale Police, held their third Alliance football match, to continue the progress of community cohesion, on Sunday May 31st 2009. The match was sponsored by Deeplish Community Centre and attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Rochdale, Cabinet Community Cohesion Portfolio holder, Cllr Mohammad Sharif and the local MP Paul Rowen.
